Green Valley Elementary School will be adding a preschool classroom for the 2018-19 school year. Children who are 4 years old by August 1, 2018 are encouraged to apply. Early enrollment is not available for any child who does not meet the date of birth requirement. Children who are 5 years old on August 1, 2018 will not be eligible. Children must reside in the school’s district (transfers will not be granted). Proof of residency (a utility bill less than 30 days old) will be required at the time of application and again during July registration. Participants will be encouraged to remain in their home school district for kindergarten during the 2019-2020 school year.
Placement into the program is not guaranteed. Parents will be notified by mail if the child has been accepted into the program or placed on a waiting list.
If your child is accepted into the preschool program, you will need to provide your child’s birth certificate and immunization records. Students with frequent absences, tardies, or movement of residence outside the school’s district could result in withdrawal from the program. Students will attend 5 hours per day, following the district calendar. Transportation to and from school will be provided. Parents or guardians are highly encouraged to attend a minimum of 2 parent events per school year.
In order to apply for this preschool program, parents will need to contact Green Valley at 812.542.5503 to begin the registration process.
